Usually celebrities, who use MySpace, Facebook, Twitter or other sites, use them for promoting themselves. They post news about their latest albums, movies, releases, song downloads, screen savers, and more on their profiles. Some celebrities make no qualms about using MySpace as a savvy marketing and promotional tool. However, many celebrities actually set up their profiles themselves, read their messages, and respond to fans directly. But it’s not easy to find those profiles when there are lots of posers and almost no celebrity proving its identity…
WHY DO YOU WANNA BE IN A CONTACT WITH A CELEBRITY?
What reasons do you have to be in contact with a celebrity? Because you wanna date it? Because you wanna learn something from it? Because you wanna take advantage of it? Because you wanna be a real friend of it? No matter what reasons you have what really matters is WHY? Why do you wanna date a celebrity? Why do you wanna take advantage of a celebrity? And are your reasons based on facts or on just your fantasies?
WHY FAN SITES ARE NOT ENOUGH?
Because you wanna be in contact with a celebrity and not with it’s fans. But why? Usually because you love the celebrity and you wanna date it or you wanna be a real friend of the one. And it can’t happen when you are in contact with just its fans.
WHAT CAN YOU OFFER THEM?
What is so special about you so a celebrity would decide to be in contact with you? There are lots of fans so why the celebrity should choose you? Remember, you must KNOW for sure and not just to THINK what you can offer the celebrity but you must also know how to sell your qualities,how to impress the celebrity.This is what celebrities did before they became famous.

Do you really KNOW for sure what celebrities can offer you? You know, what celebrities say is not always true. What celebrities do is not always true. Or do you really think when they say everybody ‘I love you’ they really love everybody? Don’t be a slave of your fantasies…
WHY SOMEBODY PRETENDS TO BE SOMEBODY ELSE?
1.Scammers=they just want your money but they won’t give you anything for your money
2.Spammers=they just want to sell you something. It is just normal business…
3.Posers=common guys pretending to be a celebrity. Don’t they have their own life? Or are they too shy to show their real faces?
WHY SHOULD CELEBRITIES PROVE THEIR IDENTITY?
Do they really need it? Of course not. There are lots of celebrities who don’t have official site like Elisha Cuthbert just to name some of them. And in spite of it she is popular… Of course celebrities are popular because their fans made internet sites about them and also posers make celebrities popular too. And that’s why celebrities don’t need to have official sites. On the other hand, when they have official sites, especially when celebrities communicate with their fans directly, it shows that they’re really interested in their fans. Or not?
IT’S ALL ABOUT FATE
Browsing celebrity profiles you can read words like these: I”m the real so don’t posing me , I hate posers, If u don’t believe me so why u add me ? Simple don’t believe so delete me… But words are just words. You know, what people say and what people really do is usually very different. Until people stop lying we can’t believe just words. Until celebrities prove their identity you must believe that you are really in contact with them. I guess, you know the difference between ‘I BELIEVE’ and ‘I KNOW’…Isn’t it better to know than just to believe, isn’t it better to have facts than just words? Of course it depends on what you want or what you need. If you are just bored then you don’t mind to communicate with posers. But if you wanna be a real friend with a celebrity then you will waste your time…
WHAT WOULD CELEBRITIES DO IF THEY WERE US?
That’s a very important question. We should ask this question celebrities. So then they finally realize how fans have big problems to be in contact with them and what they can do about it. Maybe we should ask an question why celebrities don’t prove themselves. Because can’t they or because don’t they want?
Famous guys must be really sick of tired to hear all the time if they are real or not being online. 
But on the other hand, they must understand why guys always ask them that question. If we search ‘Madonna’ on Facebook or Myspace we will find lots of profiles of her and lots of them are ‘official’ or ‘real’ What would celebrities do if they were us? Because Facebook, Myspace and other websites don’t offer an identity verification(who knows why?) then celebrities must find another solution to prove their identity. But why should they do it?
One thing is absolutely sure: all what we can do when it comes to a celebrity profiles is just to believe that those profile are real. We can’t say for sure if those profile are fake or not. But hope die last…

Your face, your location, your age and so on.
HOW CAN A CELEBRITY PROVE ITS IDENTITY?
1. A link from their official website. Not MySpace, Facebook, Bebo etc., but their official website. Example: www.westlife.com must provide a link, not www.myspace.com/westlife.
2. A real photo from the celebrity where we can see an URL of a website where is the photo.
3. A video of the celebrity speaking about an URL of a website where is the video.
HOW CAN WE TELL WHICH PROFILE IS REAL?
1. What language is used. For example an American actor who is 18years old will use different words than a poser from Russia.
2. When and how often is the person online? I guess, you know why…
3. Can you find a link to a celebrity profile you have found on its official site? If not, then it could be fake…
4. number of friends= Usually, the celebrity’s profile with the most friends is the official one. For example, if there are two profiles for Madonna, and one has 200,000 friends and the other has 48 friends, you can bet the one with 200,000 friends is hers.
5. personal photos=Imposters usually don’t have personal photos of the celebrity.
6. the profile’s design= how professionally the profile is designed. For example MySpace knows that celebrity profiles bring in a lot of users, so they work to make sure the celebrity’s profile is customized and professional. Imposter profiles will not look as slick.
BE FAIR
On the other hand, be fair:don’t you lie on your profile about your age, location or is your profile picture fake? Do you have real information about yourself on your profile(s)? Do you have pictures of yourself or did you just copied some from the Internet and then put them on your profiles? Do you have real information about your age or location? If not, why? If you lie on your profiles then don’t be hypocritical and don’t complain that there are lots of fake profiles…
Sometimes you can find a profile where a celebrity offers an msn or a skype contact. But do you know for sure that some of her fans really chatted with that celebrity? It could be just a trick to fool you…
